Artists comment: Thanks to some great work from the grants team, we were awarded grant funding to construct the 5m2 Maleny Community Mosaic for installation onto the Maleny Neighbourhood Centre’s entrance. Mosaic design was conceived by a local team of artists and construction of the mosaic work was open to all members of the community.

All in all, more than 30 people were enthusiastically involved and over the course of 3 months the Maleny Community Mosaic was constructed and installed.

Fantastic experience for all of us, and now the Maleny Neighbourhood Centre has a beautiful work of art decorating it’s entrance replacing a rather plain, empty wall.
