Question from Nosi

I am using a mosaic computer program which converts photos to a mosaic-it looks great in theory but unless you use 10x10mm tiles you would have to be doing ginourmous projects

My problem is I can’t find anyone who sells this size tile in a good range of colours.

Nola, from Mosaic Madness was just lovely and ever so helpful but she only sells bags of mixed colours-i need thousands so i need to be able to specify the colours

Does anyone know where I can purchase these from please?

Hi Nosi!

You might find what you’re looking for on eBay, or you could post a message to one of the newsgroups.

Myself, I would cut them down from my larger tiles. Hard work and not much fun, but it means you can have any colour you want in the quantity you want.

http://www.mosaicsphere.com/gallery.html is worth a look for portraits done with small tiles. “”Einstein in blue”” by Yulia Hanansen is my favourite portrait. It looks like the tiles were cut into quarters to give 6X6mm.
