Hi Brett,I am having trouble finding tiles in the colours I want. Do you ever paint tiles to achieve a desired colour and if so, what paint do you use and does it cut well after painting e.g. does the paint chip when cut?

I strongly doubt painting tiles would be a good idea – apart from the potential chipping when you cut them, I’d think the grouting process would rip some of the paint off too.

Having said that though, I’ve never tried it so maybe you should test it out before dismissing it.

You could also try looking at different tesserae like crockery, glass, maybe even crystals.

I know it’s hard to get colour these days – have no idea why people seem to want various shades of white & brown in their homes! They say it’s the fashion.
