The sliding tile cutter is easily the most often used tool in my studio.I use it to quickly cut strips, squares, rectangles & thin pieces for lines.It’s safe, accurate, easy to use & doesn’t put out the noise of the power tools. It’s still recommended to use safety glasses and a respirator (particularly if you’ll be using it for a while).My cutter is shown in the photo, and it cost around $200 – both cheaper & more expensive versions are available. I’d recommend a style similar to that shown. The only part needing replacement in several years of use is the small diamond cutting wheel.
