sliderdiamondtemplateCut strips of the tile you plan to make diamonds with.Diamonds are very tricky to draw accurately. If you’re good with maths, by all means measure out and draw your diamonds in with a ruler. In the example, I’ve created a template to trace the diamonds in accurately. Of course you’ll need to make your template the correct size for the strips you’ve cut (or the other way around)
sliderdiamondmarkoutTrace as many diamonds into each strip as you can.No need to allow a tolerance for the cuts.
sliderdiamond1Cut carefully along the guidelines you’ve created with the scorer. Ensure your score is complete from one edge of the tile to the other for best results. This may take quite a bit of practice & some familiarity with your own machine.Notice how I’ve placed the template on the cutting surface to act as a guide.
slidertriangles1When you’ve made your score, gently snap the tile.If you’re finding that the pieces aren’t snapping accurately, you may not be scoring the glaze accurately, or you might not be snapping the tile in the right place.Experiment and you’ll eventually find a method that works best on your machine.
sliderdiamond2Repeat this process along each guideline resulting in diamonds as shown.
