slidertrianglemarkout1Make a strip of tile, then mark out points on both edges to draw the size triangles you want.In this example, I’ve made triangles 30mm at the base & 25mm high. Obviously you need to offset the markings on one edge – you want triangles – not squares!
slidertrianglemarkout2Join up your markings setting out your triangles.
slidertrianglemarkout3Strip should look like this prior to cutting.
slidertriangle1Cut carefully along the guidelines you’ve created with the scorer. Ensure your score is complete from one edge of the tile to the other for best results. This may take quite a bit of practice & some familiarity with your own machine.
slidertriangle2When you’ve made your score, gently snap the tile.If you’re finding that the pieces aren’t snapping accurately, you may not be scoring the glaze accurately, or you might not be snapping the tile in the right place.Experiment and you’ll eventually find a method that works best on your machine.
slidertriangle3Repeat this process along each guideline snapping off each triangle as you go.
slidertriangle4If your scores were good and you snapped the pieces in the right spot, your triangles should come out nice & neat like this.
