Though not the most used, my wetsaw would have to be my favorite tool in the mosaic studio. It’s perfect when you require extreme accuracy, have a large volume of pieces to cut to shape, or simply can’t find an easier way to cut the piece you want. It’s great for cutting strips and accurate shapes.Wetsaws are usually powerful tools and you should always use safety goggles. It’s also important that you are alert – not the thing to do towards the end of a long hard day. Types and cost vary considerably, mine cost around $500, but you can spend a fair bit less & a lot more. As a rule, buy the best you can afford. |
