Cutting strips is easy on a wet saw.All saws come with a cutting guide – simply set the guide to the desired thickness as shown, and with both hands, and with light pressue against the guide, push the tile onto the blade.
Slowly push the tile through the blade until it’s completely cut. Don’t release the pressure or take a hand off until the cut’s complete.
Your finished strip should be perfect other than a slight chip on the end. To avoid this, you need to start the cut at one end, turn the tile around & finish the cut from the other end.As the strip is basically perfect, you can piece a few strips together & cut smaller pieces to size on the sliding cutter.I’ve cut strips as thin as 2.5mm using this wet saw.
