Artist comment: This work was created for the Moz-Oz exhibition in Sydney in May 2005.

I’ve been wanting to create another nude for a while and was forced to think small due to size restrictions for the exhibition. A cut-out style for the nude seemed perfect & I had some great tiles to achieve the colourings.

The surrounding blocks are the colours I most often see in meditation. The pendant on the nude is moonstone and adds a nice touch.

This was a very challenging piece involving the initial photography, drawing the nude to scale in the cutout style, followed by some very tricky tracing & cutting. A lot of fun though & a very vibrant final piece.
