Artist comment: “Secret women’s business” is almost a straight copy of some “doodling” Les had done in her diary. The title was obvious given the diary’s definitely off limits & personal.

I enjoyed this piece due to all the colour & textures created by different blocks sizes & cutting styles. Also, I didn’t use any power tools which was a nice departure from the norm.

I’ve included a scan of Lesley’s “doodling” below – any time she picks up a pencil now you can be sure I’ll go looking for the results!
